Robotics
In Grade 1 students are introduced to the basics of robotics. From Grade 5 onward, robotics is offered both as an elective club and as a competitive, team-based league.

Why Robotics?

Through hands-on experience in robotics, students dive into tinkering, programming, strategy, teamwork, engineering design principles and, most importantly, critical thinking.
Robotics lessons and activities are structured to solve complex problems using abstract and critical thinking. Robotics helps students refine the goals of the National Curriculum while also providing learning experiences that connect to real-life questions and observations, significantly boosting students’ academic confidence.
Millennium School in Numbers

In Grade 1, students are introduced to an introductory robotics course, where they use WeDo 2.0 to build simple robots and program them using icon-based blocks.
From Grade 5, students can join an elective club offering specialized pathways, where they work on more complex robot construction, programming, and task-solving. The core platforms used include Lego Spike Prime, Mindstorms EV3, Arduino, Microbit. Most lessons are focused on teamwork.
Millennium Robotics League

In 2023, Millennium School debuted two teams at the regional championship of the World Robotics Olympiad (WRO) held in Georgia.
In 2024, we founded the Millennium Robotics League. This internal tournament runs annually to select the school’s representative teams in robotics for upcoming European and international events. In 2026, the Millennium Robotics League includes 25 teams from Grades 5 to 12.
