One Day - One Problem
The learning framework focuses on problemand study-based practical work. Throughout an entire school day, students immerse themselves in a single complex topic or issue. By the end of the day, they create a product, solve the core problem, or deliver a presentation on their research findings.

Framework Objectives

-
Developing students’ interest in nature and science by challenging them to solve complex problems.
-
Acquiring an in-depth understanding and conceptual analysis of foundational scientific principles.
-
Cultivating the essential skills required to formulate scientific hypotheses and systematically planning academic studies.
-
Developing the ability to conduct scientific research, interpret its results and applying them to everyday problem-solving.
-
Building the capacity to carry out long-term, routine work necessary to gain scientific knowledge.
-
Developing teamwork and creativity skills.
General Framework
-
At the start of the day, the teacher presents the central problem or topic of the day and, if needed, provides the students with the necessary resources.
-
Students form groups to start searching for new information, planning and identifying ways to solve the problem, which they then present to the class as a progress report.
-
Following group discussions, the groups decide on their research methodology or identify solutions to the problem, which mostly consists of lab activities or fieldwork.
-
They carry out observations, gather data, perform analyses and draw evidence-based conclusions and build their final products.
-
To conclude the day, the groups present and discuss their work and exchange feedback.
